I’m in Manchester on vacation and my trip got off to a very rough start. However the ladies at Yewande’s helped turn a stressful day into a sweeter one. They offered water, tea, biscuits, and chocolates throughout the appointment. Everyone in the shop were so kind and funny, and I absolutely love how my goddess braids turned out. I booked the wash & blow dry as well and the products they used to wash my hair smelled amazing. I felt taken of all throughout my appointment. If I’m ever in Manchester again and need my hair done I’ll most definitely be making an appointment at Yewande’s Braids!

I came in for a relaxer by Yewande and honestly did an amazing job on my hair. I’m getting so many complement on my hair with people thinking it’s a wig! She was very knowledgeable on relaxed hair and how to care for it, answered any questions I had☺️ the staff are very professional and helpful. Overall a great experience 👏🏾

Mixed reviews for this place initially my hairdresser came across a bit rude she was very quiet and didn’t talk very much. She was very rough with my hair when detangling and I’m sure this would have caused quite a lot of breakages in my hair. The braids were also very tight, making my head quite sore but more importantly this can be damaging to my natural hair. Despite me mentioning both of these things to the hairdresser she still continued. After about 4/5 hours into the procedure she seemed to be a bit more friendly, maybe she’s just not a morning person! Anyway I think she was nice in the end but just wish she showed my natural hair abit more love and care. She’s clearly very talented at what she does but looking after the natural hair should always be the priority. The braids looked good but I’m a little worried what my natural hair will look like when I remove them. I paid £200 but tempted to take them out sooner than later to provide some extra care to my natural hair.

I went to this salon to get my hair done, I decided to get knotless braids which came out alright after a week it started to itch non stop and I tried everything to make it work but in the end I ended up taking it all out.

I washed my hair and huge amounts of hair came off my scalp and even when I dried my hair bits of my hair still continued to fall out.

I have had braids my entire life because my mum was a hairdresser and specialised in Afro hair and mixed hair and have never experienced this also I have had braids done by salons before and have never had this happen.

For the price that I paid I’m not happy about this nor am I happy with how it’s left my hair. If I could give no stars I would.

I booked with Moji for goddess braids who did an amazing job. I was offered refreshments throughout and the appointment also took less time than I was expecting. I’m really happy with my hair and look forward to coming back!

I went there as an emergency, and they were able to fit me in for a wash, moisture treatment, cut, and cornrows.
Special appreciation to Moji. She took care of my hair and made me feel comfortable. I had not been to a salon for years and she was able to recommend what style to make and how often I should trim my ends.
Moji was very pleasant to work with, and I look forward to getting my hair done again by her.
