Tori is amazing! She takes the time to find out what you want from your hair, and what works for you with your lifestyle. It feels like a collaborative process and really inspires trust. It’s the first time in my life I’ve looked forward to getting my haircut - I want to know how soon I can visit again rather than reluctantly going back when my hair gets too unhealthy! If you’ve had the same experience as me with hairdressers that don’t ‘get’ curly hair, Tori is your woman…the tips she gives about how to apply product and style your hair work wonders as well as a cut that gets the most from your curls. I’ve had so many “wow! Your hair looks great!” reactions since going to Tori, I can’t recommend her enough…not just for curly hair (although she is incredible with curls) but if you want an experience with someone who will give you a really personal service where you feel totally in safe hands.

This was my second
This was my second visit to see Tori, I’ve always been reluctant to get my hair cut - especially when it involved visiting a hair salon. The Hair Lounge is a relaxing and comfortable salon, there are no large windows with onlookers; hairdressers or customers which may make you feel uncomfortable. My first visit was for a curly introduction, Tori asked about my hair routine which I don’t believe any hairdresser has ever asked me before! Tori took time to show me ways of styling my hair with. Good knowledge of methods and styling products. I walked out of The Hair Lounge with my hair dry and in its natural curly form which I have never done in my entire life (I always insisted on leaving my hair wet so I could run home and apply product before I left looking like a frizz ball)!!! Admittedly my hair only had a trim but went into curl shock (Tori did warn me and I was expecting it), it took a good 3 weeks for my hair to calm down. My second visit to Tori I went for a bit of a chop. Unbelievably I don’t think that Tori cut enough of my hair off, again another first for me as after a life time of having my hair cut by non-curly trained hairdressers I’ve ALWAYS had too much hair taken off even when I only ask for a trim. As Tori understands that curly hair can often be unpredictable she did not cut too much off. You can always take more off later! Tori is knowledgeable about curly hair, it was so refreshing to be able to actually discuss your curly hair with someone who understands your struggles! I recommend a visit to see Tori so much if you have curly hair, I am so grateful to of discovered Tori and hope she never moves area!

Last week I had my first hair cut in 5 years (and first ever curl specialist!) with Tori and I am absolutely over the moon with the whole experience! Ive been apprehensive about getting it done for a long time, but am so glad I booked in 🙂 Tori was super friendly and professional and was extremely knowledgeable. Tori made me feel very welcome and at ease, it was a relaxing pamper away from my little one for an hour or so!

Tori talked me through what she was doing at each stage, and showed me how to style my own hair at home, giving lots of hints and tips tailored to me and my preferences.

I haven't ever had my hair done and been excited for my next cut - but I cannot wait for my appointment in a few months!

Tori has cut my daughters hair several times now and each time does a super job. She makes her feel special and remembers so many of the things she tells her. Tori has shown me how to care for my daughters very curly hair and it looks beautiful (almost) every day now. Definitely recommend for your little curly girls and boys!
