Went in blind today, never been before. Had a restyle with Laura and I am so pleased. I’ve struggled getting the right stylist with my thick hair over the years and she made it seem easy. Lovely to talk too as well. Looking forward to going again.

Went to have my hair put up for a wedding . I assumed at almost £50 it should be good. How wrong was I it soon become lose around 1.5 hours and looked mess. It took all of 20 mins to do the job by the most disingenuous hairdresser I've ever had do my hair . Appalling service extortionate pricing and overall very disappointed. After 3 hours the whole lot almost fell out so took the pins out in the toilet at reception. My hairdresser is in Harrogate so too far away . Never again !

Nikita was brilliant! Was my first time at the salon and I left very impressed. Not only did she do a great job with my hair, she was a pleasure to sit with. I aren't great at talking about my hair and what I want but she asked all the right questions to pull it out of me.

TLDR: Refused to provide the agreed-upon service. Making up lies to cover themselves. want to charge me extra money to fix the mistakes they made. Terrible colour, and terrible service.

Absolutely appalled. I came to this salon with a photo of the colour I wanted. A balayage with a dark root and a light end. I asked for a money piece as well. Well, the first stylist for some reason turned the whole top of my hair red. Bright red. I don't even know why so much of the top of my hair was lightened at all. She was even going to leave in some of the blondes until I pointed it out. So I returned to the salon and pointed out this wasn't what I asked for, they kept going on about how the colour would sit differently up top because the hair is virgin. Frankly, that doesn't matter as there was no reason for large parts of my hair up top to have ever BEEN lightened as that was NOT what I asked for. However I didn't harp on that and asked that my root be made the dark colour it was meant to be, and I pointed out that the ends of my hair the colour looked right so all that was needed was the dark root put in and blended properly. So tell me why I now have all-over dark brown hair so dark it looks black. All the way to the tip. It looks like cheap box dye. I was immediately unhappy and told them and was waved off with "go wash it, the colour will change". Which I have. And it's not.

I emailed the salon owner my concerns and have basically been told that I'm picky, that I change my colour goals, and that if I want my ends light like they were until they "fixed them" I need to pay "extra". I have used the same inspo photo since day one. Dark root, light end. I got a light root medium end and then a dark root, dark end.

Not to mention the cut, I asked for a shorter cut with layers. I got a shorter cut all one length but frankly, I'm tired of even arguing with these people.

I have been refused a refund and treated like the villain. All I wanted was my hair done, the way it was agreed upon. Now I want a refund to pay the stylist who needs to fix my hair. Thanks for damaging half a head of virgin hair by putting in highlights it didn't need and I didn't ask for by the way.

Everything I asked to be done has been done by previous salons with no issues. Stupid me thought, let's try someone local. Big mistake

So yeah. I do not recommend this salon for its colour, for its cut, and especially NOT for its ability to admit mistakes, fix them or offer customer service.

First time at this salon and I picked it from the reviews, which lets be honest, you can’t always be sure that they are genuine. However, everything that I read, was spot on. They fitted me in today, at very short notice and did perfectly what I needed, all within 25 minutes. Service and staff all extremely friendly and attentive, without being overbearing. Clean and attractive salon and garden area ( perfect for a hot tub / pizza oven perhaps? ). Will be back soon. Thank you Louise😀

I went to Urban Hair a couple of weeks ago for my first haircut in over a year. The staff are friendly and really helpful. Carrie was lovely and gave me useful styling tips. Would definitely recommend.
