Nice shop, lots of flowers, and the coffee that the young girl made was gorgeous! I had a latte, a steak and ale pie and the cherry rhubarb cake was really nice. Really good view though the window as well.

Staff polite an chatty , hot chocolate was divine ,partner had in his words the best bacon barm hes had in a long time , u had toasted teacake one day with proper butter an had a breakfast the next day all good tasty food

It looks great from the outside, but inside it’s very average. The staff mumble and don’t give you a nice welcome. We were served a pot of tea with loose leaves but no strainer?! My steak pie was sad and dry. My wife’s soup was good but you had to pay extra for the bread?! I was going to order a latte or cappuccino but they were £4.20 each (London prices). The table next to us were served a cold pie when asked for warm. Shame, could be much better. I think if you’re going to charge that much you need to provide quality service and produce. We felt both could be improved considerably.

A lovely place now it is under new ownership.
A really cosy atmosphere with lots of seating.
Cakes are great and they have hot savoury dishes too such as sausage rolls.
The service is friendly and the view over the estuary is exceptional.
Definitely worth a visit if you’re out walking your dog and need coffee and a yummy cake.

Always comforting to know the Bakehouse is open when you come to Arnside. The Full English Breakfast Bun available all day is great value and so tasty. Good to see Pies can be ordered to collect in advance so you don’t miss out if you call later in the day.
