Poor experience which resulted in my hair being ruined. I have subsequently been ignored through fb messaging and promised a refund which never happened. Bellow is the message I originally sent to the owner.

I came in for an appointment this morning at 10am. I was a previous client of your salon many years ago in your old premises and only stopped coming as I moved further away. I have continued to support your salon from a distance by interacting on socials and recommending you to clients of my own (I am a beauty therapist). So after a turbulent year with my health; which had a knock on effect to my hair, I thought what better time to make the journey to your salon.

I’m not sure on the hairdresser who did my hair as she never introduced herself. I was very clear with her what my requests were. I even showed her pictures of my own hair and an example of work from your salon which I had seen on social media. The lady took copies of these photos and agreed she could do just that.

I specifically said I wanted to be ginger and not red. As you can see by the photos below, I am now as red as can be. This was after her first attempt didn’t achieve any colour on my ends.

I asked for nothing off my length and just a trim, my hair has been cut so short. This is so disappointing after I tried to explain to the hairdresser that my goal is to get my hair back long and thick as it was pre medication changes.

The lady proceeded to dry my hair talking no care as to how she did it. It could literally see the steam coming off my hair whilst she tug at it. And then gave me a very strange finish with the straighteners and copious amounts of oil which only lead to my hair feeling fried.

You could ask “why didn’t you say anything?” … at the end of the appointment (over three hours) I had already had to add more parking on the meter and arrange for my daughter to be collected from nursery by a family member. What’s the point in saying anything when you can’t “un-red” my hair and you can’t “stick it back on”

I am not wanting to offend, but I am guessing the hairdresser is not experienced. In which case, why wasn’t she offered support or why didn’t she ask for it? In the grand scheme of things there are bigger things going on in the world however, like most women, my hair is my pride and joy. Frankly it looked better before I stepped foot in the salon. What’s worse is I think the hairdresser could tell I was upset when I said why is my hair crispy at the end, but didn’t want to ask.

(I originally said that…) I won’t leave a bad review as a small business owner myself I know how much this can impact a business. (However after being ignored, feel I have to make others aware who may be more complex clients with health issues like myself) I don’t even want the offer of having this “fixed” as trusting someone to do my hair has finally gone. All I ask is that you can learn from this. I am a grown woman who drove home from her appointment sobbing and no one should feel this way after spending their hard earned pennies.

I visited the salon for the first time today and was not disappointed. Evie was my stylist and what a lovely lass she is! My hair is a bit of a nightmare, but she cracked on with a smile on her face and transformed my dull brassy hair into a lovely bright blonde after a full head of highlights and toner. Everyone in the salon seemed friendly and chirpy as well, will def be back! Thanks so much ☺️

As someone who resorted to cutting my own hair for the last year because of traumatic past experiences with other salons I can highly recommend this salon. I wanted long, face framing layers whilst keeping overall length. Oh and Emma also had to fix my over exuberant thinning of one side! I came out with exactly what I asked for 😍 the atmosphere is fun and comfortable and I will be going back !
