Lovely Sunday Lunch with some of best service we’ve ever had. Accommodating, helpful, friendly and caring. My elderly Mum was delighted. Food was delicious and well priced for the portions. It’s now n our list to go back regularly. Thanks very much to the two waitresses who made us so very welcome.

Great place where all four of us have been before but not as couples. We had Sunday lunch and we all chose the roast beef- it’s usually done slightly pink but you are offered to have it more well done when ordering. The food was excellent . Only comment would be that the vegetables provided in addition to those on the plate were small portions. There were four of us and we had just 3 small dishes between us. Otherwise a lovely meal. We only had tea and coffee before and after our meal but that was well presented and the tea was very good ( not all eateries get that right!!) The log fire was on but the room was still a little cold despite that we were sat nearby. We will be returning though.

Went for lunch on a Saturday and wasn't disappointed. I had the craven heifer pie and my wife had the lamb pie. Both were excellent and we shared the cookie dough for pudding which was equally as good. The service was great and very welcoming. We're only twenty minutes away so we'll definitely be back to try some more of the menu.

Perfect first little over night stay with our 2 month old baby. The room was comfy clean and a very high standard. |We stayed here for our wedding night so wanted to come back for our anniversary - excellent service and food! Dinner and breakfast were DELICIOUS! Very reasonable room and dinner rates too for the quality! Thank you so much we will definitely be back in Summer!

3 old fellas poped in light lunch and a beer, service from very friendly young lady was excellent thankyou so much and very accommodating to our light lunch requirements. Thanks to her and chef for truly yummy meatballs starter with cracking chips. We’re all so very local,all 3 of us just retired so well Defo spread the good word and we’ll be back ! |Cheers |Neil

Varied menu with well presented food, good ingredients, well cooked and good service.|We enjoyed the experience enhanced by the spacious dining area and log fire. The loud banging kitchen door could do with sorting. The bill was a pleasant surprise as well.

Visited with friends mid week, mid day. Booked a table online. However it was not required. The restaurant area is quite welcoming with a wood burning stove . Making the area nice and warm. Starters of Halloumi chips and Calamari were very tasty and served warm. The mains were 2 x Italian Chicken which was presented nicely on a wooden plate. There was a Vegetable Moussaka, although my wife is not vegetarian. She said it was very tasty and another clear plate. I had the lamb rump. I was not asked how I wanted it. But I take this that it is cooked how Chef wants it served. It was medium rare and just how I like it. The taste was beautiful. We finished off with coffee and a very satisfying dining experience.

Overall phenomenal hotel. A very special place for our family. We first stayed before having any children and have been staying ever since our family has been growing. Our toddler loves coming here and enjoys her bath watching paw patrol! And our baby boy first came as a newborn in April and now again as an 8 month old. we feel very fortunate to have found such a lovely, welcoming place that means so much to our family.

All staff are very friendly, kind, accommodating and caring. They always make us feel welcome and go the extra mile to make effort with our children. It’s even nicer we have got to know different members of the team and it’s even more beautiful staff members stay the same which is proof is a lovely establishment. Consistent and happy staff. Evie in particular always greets our little ones using their names and they love seeing her. She even held our baby and settled him when he was upset so we could enjoy our breakfast which was so generous of her. She’s a phenomenal worker and we love getting to know her!

Kieran in the kitchen is so friendly and we enjoyed chatting with him. He accommodated our children’s eating quirks and also my fussiness and always tries his best to accommodate everyone. The food is always great and so so tasty. The breakfast section is also stunning and such a treat that it’s included. The kitchen staff are superb.

The room is beautiful and quirky. Refreshments are topped up each day and fresh towels are laid out without needing to ask.

At one point in was our yearly treat. We slowly but surely have been adding in extra trips as and when we can. Now we most likely come up to 3 times a year and we wish it could be more than that. our latest stay has been a 4 night Christmas stay and we have loved and appreciated every ounce of luxury.

Thank you to all the very hardworking staff running this gorgeous hotel. If you haven’t already visited, try it! You won’t be disappointed.
