Not big on writing reviews, but this gem of a shop really saved the day. Had a wedding crisis with a dress. Normally take my mum to Luton or London for materials. Found this place via an online search. Mum found all the items she wanted and was impressed by what the shop could offer. The young lady behind the counter was very helpful and at no point was we being rushed. A + for customer service. The items were competitively priced and of great quality. Its safe to say my mums found her new local shopping place for fabrics. Thank you Summan Fabrics, you really did save the day. By the way my sister loved the dress, a smiling bride 👗👍.

The poor rating of this shop is not reflective of the reality. I have always found Mr Summan to be a most pleasant man, a quiet person but friendly and helpful. His shop has an amazing amount of stock in the way of fabrics and yarns and his prices are competitive. We are very lucky to have this shop in Letchworth.

Recently decided to support small businesses much more than I used to and Summan Fabrics were one of the latest ones.

I was very impressed with the wide range of stock, quality in products and the service received. The overall experience was one I had to leave a review for and share.

Highly recommended and certainly will be visiting again.

I'm amazed that this shop has a one star review! Both the man and the younger girl, who I assume is his daughter, have been thoroughly helpful and chatty, while I was collecting ideas for my bridal accessories.

I carelessly left one of my bags there and discovered so, when I got home. I called them and she remembered me and is keeping the bag safe for me. Lovely people! 💟

Not sure why this shop doesn’t have a 5 star rating as it really does have everything you need. During lockdown the shop was my saviour from
Making masks to sewing and knitting, even my children enjoy going into the shop. They have amazing fabric and always have helpful advice and knowledge which makes life a lot easier for a novice like me. This is one local store that deserves all our support. Great shop and excellent service.

An amazing array of fabrics in traditional, modern and contemporary prints. The staff are very knowledgeable and quite helpful, especially the middle aged lady.
Summan’s is the cheapest fabric store in the area and the variety of materials, wools, threads, lace curtains, sundries and other accessories is outstanding.
Only downside is, popular items sell out very quickly. I waited to buy some pvc coated white material, but then it sold out and has not come back in yet. When you see something, if you want it buy it, otherwise you’ll be disappointed like I am.
The store layout has vastly improved as well, so it much easier to browse now.

I've used Summan Fabrics for a few months now in conjunction with my local haberdashery in another town. I've never found the owner to be rude, I often get a smile and i'm remembered each time I pop in.
Plenty of fabric choice, price is what you'd expect, no nasty surprises.
I'd recommend going here if you know what you need and aren't looking for a pushy sales man. 🙂

I have used this shop for years. I rarely spend much but am always treated with friendliness (genuine - not in-your-face false) and respect. We are very lucky to have such a well-stocked and reasonable fabric shop and will lose it if we aren't careful.
