Wonderful fabric shop! They have ribbons, zips, all sorts of habidashery and an incredible range of material. It's like an Aladin's cave. The team are helpful (so useful for me as I'm an absolute beginner!). They have special offers and offcuts if you need a small amount. I've bought fabric for upholstery in the past and more recently, I got a selection of small fabrics in different colours to wrap presents. It's inspiring and I always wish I had more time to explore. I absolutely love this shop!

*APPALLING TREATMENT BY STAFF TOWARDS A CHILD WITH ADDITIONAL NEEDS – AVOID THIS STORE*

By far the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, and after reading other reviews, it’s clear this is not an isolated issue. As a mother of a child with additional needs, I was shocked by the staff’s lack of understanding and compassion.

I visited the store with my three children to quickly find some fabric. When I asked a staff member for assistance, she vaguely pointed in a general direction, making me feel as though I was bothering her. While trying to manage my children, my eldest, who is nearly 10, was rudely told not to open a toy she was holding. I let that go, but then another staff member shouted at my 6-year-old whilst he played with his toy car on the floor.

The situation worsened when my youngest wandered up the stairs. I was already worried, as I didn’t know what was up there, but as I went to get him, a staff member brought him down from the other side and proceeded to scold me, telling me to “control” my children. When I confronted her about her choice of words—using “control” and shouting at my children—I explained that this was unacceptable. She said she was worried. I explained that as his mother, of course I was worried too—but he is a child.

The staff’s behaviour was appalling, particularly when dealing with children. Their rude, dismissive tone and complete lack of understanding only escalated the situation. When I tried to address their behaviour, other staff and even customers joined in, gaslighting me instead of diffusing the tension. I was in utter shock. When I explained they are children, they shouted back that they had children too. I told them I would leave, as I would not tolerate being shouted at.

As a paediatric nurse, I would never dream of shouting at someone else’s children, no matter the situation. You never know if a child’s actions are due to a delay or being neurodivergent. Their behaviour was simply despicable.

I will never return to this store. Their treatment of customers, especially parents and children, was disgraceful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE.

A lovely fabric shop with amazing prices. So much assortment and beats the prices at other stores by miles! I bought some short pike and long pile white fur fabric, and two spools of cotton, and it only came to £20 which is amazing. Staff friendly, patient and attentive. My card decided to play up but they were so patient and it wasn’t a bother at all :)). I’ll definitely be returning! Highly recommend. Thank you so much.
