This is my preferred place to buy knitting yarn and sewing accessories (haberdashery) in Lancaster. The shop is an Aladdin's cave of buttons, ribbons, trimmings, fastening... anything you need in that line and generally inexpensive. Currently closed Thursday & Sunday only

A great shop for a range of haberdashery. I went specifically for buttons and there are loads! A big range of colours, shapes and sizes. The lady who works there was very helpful and made suggestions that would work with my fabric. I bought some buttons. Highly recommended.

Fantastically useful. Lancaster abounds with wool shops but this is the only proper haberdashery I know of, with supplies for all kinds of sewing, embroidery, repairs etc. Amazing range of buttons. Any number of handy odds and ends too - I once went in and asked for 'one of those defuzzing thingummies for getting bobbles off fabric'... Not only did the staff know exactly what I meant but yes, they had one, and at a bargain price too!
