I then went back in for you guys to make it right on Wednesday 27 November last year.

What sparked this review was a reminder text to book in with you guys again. I have figured out how to add photos and the references picture.

I don’t like to complain or leave negative reviews. However I have tried to let this go and my colleagues, family members and neighbours have all asked to share my experience here at Basingstoke hair lab.

I don’t normally go to the hairdressers as I always get a bad experience but I thought after looking at the reviews I would come here for a positive experience.

I am on the spectrum and needed everything explaining a couple of time to fully understand. And I did left the stylist know about it and my past negative past with hairdressers.

I came I asking for a fun colour and was talked out of rainbow hair, which was the right choice and was talked into a red, pink and orange hairdo. I have added a picture. They didn’t want to do a hair strand test but I brushed it off and kept going.

I went in for the first lot of colour and left with patchy hair and all the colours blending into one another.

I also was left with lots of extra dried hair dye around my forehead and ears. I was told I looked like a murder victim. When I came back and complained they did sit me don’t and stubbed my hairline to get the extra dryer dye off. She said that her manager hates people leaving the way I did and that the other stylist should have removed it!

I did complain and did go back to get it fixed. I didn’t want to go darker but allowed the same colours to be used to help blend out and make it look even. I just ended up going darker instead and with a partial refund. I didn’t want to argue and just wanted to leave so I took that and left.

Both visits I left with red hair dye stains and was forced to go to work at one point because it was taking too long and I didn’t want to be late.

I had about five different people all doing different things with my hair in total. And was not left with the best experience.

I was blond and am now back to blonde again.

I can’t figure out how to attach pictures but I am more than happy to send pictures if anyone wants to see them.

I got my hair done by Sing last week. I am absolutely thrilled with my new hair, it's exactly what I wanted. Sing was absolutely lovely and so professional, took all my thoughts and concerns into account and made sure I understood the process and maintenance for my hair before I committed to anything. He is such a talented hairdresser and I would 100% recommend him to anyone wanting to get their hair done here in future, especially to the girlies who love bright and vibrant hair like me! I am so so happy with my hair! The staff at the Salon were so lovely too, particularly the receptionist Lara who was so thoughtful and sweet and lovely to chat to! Thank you for giving me an amazing experience and I will definitely be coming back again!

I needed a hairdresser on short notice for my daughter and saw that Hair Lab was advertised as being open until 7pm on wednesday , which was also displayed on the side entrance. However, when I arrived at 5:50 pm, I was surprised to find they were closing early. When I mentioned the advertised hours, I was informed that only the telephone booking line remains open until 7 pm, not the salon itself.

This was quite misleading, as the posted and online hours suggested otherwise. I would recommend that the business ensures their advertised hours accurately reflect their services to avoid confusion for future customers.

Fortunately Milan Hairdresser in 20 Potters Walk opposite to M&S Basingstoke was still open . The hairdresser Barry did a five star service, proven to excellent with children.

Mel has done an amazing work on my hair. Although she’s at the start of her career she knows what she’s doing! I’m really happy with the work she’s done on my hair . Will definitely be back soon for toner ☺️🥰

I've been going to Hair Lab for some time. I wanted a complete restyle and booked with Sing the most expensive but experienced hairdresser. Wow I was amazed and loved the whole time from start to finish . From coffee to hair wash which was amazing with head and neck massage by Sing himself. My restyle wolf cut looks great and manageable by myself (which is great being 59) So pleased well worth the £75.00. I highly recommend Sing for a great, positive hair experience.

Couldn’t recommend HairLab enough! Have had my hair done by Holly Marie twice now. I’ve always been self conscious about my hair after box dying it for so long. Holly helped me come up with ways for my hair to be back to its normal colour without damaging it with more colour. From the get go she was so good at explaining what was best, and different ways to keep it healthy. She knows exactly what would look right. She is always so precise in the way she works and she is so understanding. I’m so happy with the way Holly does my hair. Fab service.
