Lovely friendly shop and staff. I attended a one day workshop here to learn how to become friends with my overlocker! A slow start but well impressed with how I can now carry on experimenting at home. Looking forward to other classes! Thanks to my tutor Julie for her patience!
Update just attended another half day course in zips. Just as enjoyable and learnt lot! Thanks to owner Julie for her patience and knowledge. These classes fill up early so sign up well in advance for these small classes packing a great punch! Looking forward to another!

Fabulous shop, packed full of delights for every level of needleworker, all the staff have amazing amount of experience and are really helpful. They run a wide range of workshops one day and more.
I have now experienced a 6 evening dress making for beginners, a great way to start, it gave me confidence to start making easy patterns, and have just done a one morning zip workshop, absolutely brilliant. Inspirational place to visit you cannot help but want to get you sewing machine out.

Thank you Escape & Create for getting me back into sewing, I have just completed a dressmaking course, it was very thorough and I learned how to do things properly. I completed the 6 week Beginners Dressmaking Course and made a skirt and a top. I knew some basics but I learnt so many skills which I can use on other projects. We made the items step by step which meant that if there were any issues or questions about how to do certain things, we could go through this with the teacher the following week. It was really valuable and you can't learn those things from online, pre recorded courses.

I bought the fabric used from Escape and Create and it is my favourite shop to visit! It's full of beautiful fabrics and everything else you could possibly need for your craft project.

I'm not into crafts or sewing, but visit with my wife who is. This is a gem of a place, it has two floors of fabrics with a great selection, all of the bits you need for any projects and enthusiastic staff who know what they are talking about and can help and advise. I also understand they have a workshop where they do courses and teach sewing/crafts. As a bloke, the biggest problem is getting my wife out of there........

Great place for those interested in sewing. Also offers a range of courses on aspects of sewing. Friendly and welcoming staff. Quite small so stock choice quite narrow but well thought out. My wife's first stop when looking for fabric, buttons etc.
