Popped in here with the dogs for a cream tea. To clarify, the cream tea was for us, and the dogs were happy to sit under the table whilst we enjoyed a convivial afternoon treat. Pleasant atmosphere, prompt service, full marks all round.

Great price for spacious, comfortable accommodation, great drinks and one of the best cooked breakfasts I've ever had!
I would 100% stay again. The only negatives were no on site parking, no bathtub, and although not a problem for us, some may struggle with the stairs.

Just got back from a 2 night stay with a Travelzoo voucher. We stayed in a ground floor apartment overlooking the bowling green and it was fabulous. Everything was of high quality and so tastefully furnished. Especially loved the Lucy Pittaker paintings. Having 3 recliners was an unexpected treat. |Shower was the best!|Now to the pub itself, staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. Breakfast was lovely and the evening meal was yummy. You must try the blade of beef!|All in all a lovely couple of days and I’ll definitely look out for Travelzoo again to go back.

We are a family of 13 who called in unplanned for lunch on 17th February. Staff were really welcoming and accommodated us without fuss to get us all seated together . Meals were amazing. Definitely recommend eating and or drinking here.

Nice place good location very busy and good vibes, very food biased I think. Not the pubs fault there were a fair few dogs of which a couple kept barking, not the dogs fault either but the owners seemed oblivious to the noise. Beer was good service efficient just a shame no one told the dog owners to take a bit of control 😔

I've been here for lunch a couple of times. It's lovely and warm inside, with friendly staff and nice food. The menu has options for different dietary requirements including vegan, and the portions are very generous.

We only came here for the food, twice. They are very accommodating of dogs and there were several in, all exceptionally well-behaved. The food is very good and tasty.

Rooms in the cottage adjoining the main building were modern and immaculate. Great bath and walk in shower. Good size tv in lounge and both bedrooms. Quality beds that were comfy for a big guy like me. Wi-Fi throughout, peaceful at night. Excellent.

Just watch your head on the low ceilings. Parking is limited to 2 hours right outside with a temporary permit. Was told the wardens are zealots but left it there all night, and it was fine.
