My husband spotted this gem of a shop on a YouTube video by a motorcycle vlogger and on a trip out to look at bikes, this was my treat as I love knitting , crochet and great wool shops.What a lovely treat it was. The lady (sorry, I didn't get her name ) was absolutely wonderful, friendly and very informative. Even though I didn't buy anything this time she introduced me to some beautiful yarns. There is an amazing array of colours and textures and she fired up my imagination for new projects to do. I'm newly retired and taking my hobby up a notch. Although Ipswich is a bit of a trek from Lincolnshire this shop is well worth the visit and I'll definitely go back as soon as my stocks need replenishing. Crafty Baba has far more than wool and knitting accessories with little rooms relating to all sorts of crafts and workshops too. Who knows, I might even find myself new hobbies 🤔😁

I’ve wanted to learn to crochet for months and YouTube tutorials only go so far if you are starting from scratch. Wonderful crochet for beginners course, Zoe was a great teacher, very positive and patient . We were all made so welcome from first stepping in and the workshop area was beautifully laid out. Great crib sheet to take home too.

Really enjoyed my dressmaking day at Crafty Baba. I like Zoe's joyful attitude to sewing - she prioritises fun over perfection and I found that really empowering as a beginner sewer. I left the day feeling much less intimidated and managed to make my first top the following week.

A wonderful little shop, full of several little rooms of great quality fabrics of different styles and prices, from 'budget friendly' to 'treat yourself'. Lots of notions, threads, needles, zippers etc, and patterns too. Lovely knowledgeable staff. They do classes aswell which are all listed on the website.

I popped in to Crafty Baba today for a little look round. Excellent range of fabrics and the lady serving could not have been more friendly and helpful. I left the shop with 3 pieces of fabric and a smile on my face. I will definitely be back. Thank you!
