I was hugely upset and disappointed.....I am a local, having used Nana's business for 20 years, I delivered Four duvets made from the highest quality washable wool £219.00 each!! I paid to have them dry cleaned as they needed to be air dried only......Instead, they washed and tumble dried them, not reading the washing instructions (easy mistake) But they were Returned shrunk and looking like rags. Following many unanswered calls, Nana refused to offer an apology or any form of compensation. Two weeks on I threatened to take his business to the small claims court....The owner came to meet me immediately in his shop, still refusing to apologise for their mistake of not reading the washing instructions. The outcome 4 shrunken unusable duvets and my £100.00 paid to dry clean them returned. Not a man to do business with.

I took an expensive Dinner suit into this establishment on a Monday requesting it to be dry cleaned, for collection on the Friday. Duly went to collect it and was told that the machine had broken and would be fixed that afternoon. The suit could be delivered to my home which I thought was strange as not exactly cost effective for the business. However, I asked to see the suit and it could not be located- until the server started rifling through a huge pile of dirty curtains and clothing shoved in the corner behind the counter. To my horror, my Husband’s suit was at the bottom of this pile in a crumpled mess. I had said I was unhappy about paying for the cleaning due to the inconvenience and the manner in which his clothes had been treated . The girl said that would not be unacceptable.
Bit of a jam as I needed the suit and didn’t have time to go elsewhere.
I left my phone number for a call when the suit was ready. We were leaving on holiday the following afternoon.
I got a call close to midday on the Saturday to collect with a somewhat flustered man telling me it had iron marks and double creases. He said he’d show me when I came in. This he did.
I asked to speak with the Manager who turned out to be the one pressing the trousers.
When finished he took the suit and refused to give it to me until I had paid. I asked if there was any discretion considering the inconvenience and was told no. There was no apology for the disgusting way he had treated our clothing; the delay, inconvenience and the two trips I had made for their mistake. I was quite annoyed and asked how long he had been in business and should consider the disgusting state of the place and how he treats his customers. He flat right refused to give me the suit until I had paid. It was quite a stand-off and there were several customers witnessing the argument. I thought about calling the Police as he had my property, and if I’d not been catching a plane that very afternoon may well have done so. I told him I would leave a negative review and he said he didn’t care. He tried to overcharge me just to add insult to injury.
Clearly he doesn’t. I was asked not to come back again, which was an interesting statement at the end of one of the most unpleasant dealings I have ever had with any business at any time, anywhere.
Before you leave your clothing, or anything for that matter with these people, just take a moment to observe the lack of cleanliness; the piles of linen both dirty and clean in all corners. It gets worse as you go towards the back. Absolutely no pride and zero commitment to morale or decent customer service. The way they treated a good suit was appalling.
I would have given no stars at all had there been that option.

Very poor service. Dropped a job in to collect two weeks later, ample time one might think. When I arrived to collect it still had not been done and I had to hang around whilst the staff completed it, making me late to depart for the very event I was due to attend. Nothing offered by way of compensation, ridiculous.

Took our coat in and unfortunately they did not get one mark out of it. Pointless visit.
