I stood at the counter for several minutes with one member of staff in the distance. Eventually another lady appeared from behind some stock but ignored me and disappeared again. I had to shout hello for the other lady to assist me. She didn't appear too happy. Also the items I bought weren't priced. I've found this before with other items when I've had to wait in a queue just to ask the price. Apart from that slight annoyance it's still a great shop.

I just wanted to share my absolutely horrendous experience. I came into the shop distraught the other day after losing a family member, only to be told to grow up and get over it from a staff member I can only describe as resembling manny from ice age. To my dismay said staff member then picked me up and body slammed me through the front desk. Will not be returning.

Unbelievably rude sales assistant. I asked about some stock of curtains and she grunted at me and pointed to someone else. The lady that I spoke to next was lovely and helped with my enquiry. I will not be coming back again.

We were served by a dark haired lady. She was extremely helpful and friendly. She gave very useful advice and we bought 2 pairs of curtains in the sale for a quarter of the original price. We are really pleased.

The 20% off everything deal is misleading consumers! I tried to buy some sale wool and was told by one of the shop floor assistants that yes I could have 20% off. Then at the till I was told I couldn't. I phoned the store manager to complain that this '20% off everything' was plainly WRONG and she said it should be obvious to customers that if it's in the sale then it's already 20% off. I said it wasn't at all obvious as their banners proclaimed '20% off everything' and I said they should have a bit saying 'except sale items' but she didn't agree. I was left with a sour taste in my mouth and shan't be shopping there again.

This store has taken over from our local Guildford store during the coronavirus pandemic to arrange home fitting curtain appointments. I had an initial consultation over the phone for around 15-20mins to go through exactly what we wanted so that they could bring some samples with them to our home appointment. I requested a specific fabric for one room and a general idea for another (blue linen). I was told we would have lots of samples brought along to pick from!

The guy who turned up came with none of the samples we requested. He brought in a bag with samples that another client had asked for which was totally different to our requirements (purple velvet) and then asked us just to pick a colour from an iPad. When we asked for a sample of the fabric he was selecting from he just said 'probably not, some sample centres are currently closed' without even checking. He took about 30 seconds measuring our windows and was in and out in about 5 minutes. A week later still no quote for the curtains! What a waste of my time staying in for this appointment and totally unessecary contact during this pandemic. Even if a quote does eventually come through we will be going elsewhere.

Good quality shop, never know what you're going to find, sometimes some amazing bargains. Helpful, nice, knowledgeable staff.
