Excellent Village Shop

You are not going to find Tesco prices here, but if you want to buy at Tesco’s prices, go to Tesco’s

Opened in 2007 with the help of fundraising and lottery money

Run by the BCA (Blockley Co-operative Association) which manages and maintains the building (including the cafe portion of the building)

This building (shop and cafe) is the heart of the village and buzzes all day with comings and goings of the residents and visitors

Cash back up to £50 available and a great selection of Salty Snacks

Daily Papers through the door and in the left hand corner

Opposite the shop is ‘Paxton House’ where Patton & Eisenhower drew up plans for the Normandy Invasion

Simply delicious. No fuss food superbly cooked and elegantly presented. A small menu but with something for everyone. Any intolerances or foibles and Craig will be sure to accomodate you. First time for me but friends and family have dined here on numerous occasions. Will come back when in the area.

The shop was fairly standard, the cafe which appeared attached was really overpriced. They were still doing a roaring trade but at prices you would expect in a nice gastro pub, not prices you would expect to pay in a cafe, especially given that the offering was no different to any other country Cafe.

What a lovely shop in a quaint Cotswold village, which I am reliably informed is the seting for a BBC show called Father Brown. We stopped off to see the church on route to another appointment and nipped into the shop to collect a couple of sandwiches.

Lovely friendly staff, ready to share a joke, plenty of supplies and at very reasonable cost.. be warned there's not a lot of parking nearby, we were lucky as in the churchyard there are a couple of disabled spaces.

Visiting our friend who lives in the village, we came here again for coffee and cake. Service is very friendly. We had their cruffins and they were so nice! Coffee good too. On leaving I didn’t think £16 was quite expensive for 2 cakes and 2 coffees but I’m assuming that must have included service. But was very happy with everything so I’d still give it 5*. I believe they also do food in the evenings and locals are very happy with the food.

It is a lovely shop and cafe. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The shop has a lot of local produce a very competitive prices. The cafe prepares lovely food and again staff are very friendly. Blockley is a beautiful cotswold village and the church of St Peter and St Paul or also known as St Mary's in the wonderful series of Father Brown is a beautiful church. I would highly recommend a visit to this lovely village.
