If you want an uneven and horrible haircut, book with Ahmet, the so-called senior stylist—I’d hate to see the junior staff. My simple cut was so bad I wondered if this place was a front for something else.

When I asked for a refund, I was offered a "fix" by the same stylist (no thanks) or store credit for shampoo—how does that help my uneven hair? If I could give zero stars, I would.

I don’t usually write negative reviews, but I had a terrible experience at Belsize Hair Salon. I have dark blonde hair and wanted to brighten it with some natural, warm blonde highlights. I specifically communicated this to my hairdresser, Hakan, but unfortunately, he did not engage with me at all—no consultation, no explanation of the process. While I trusted his expertise, the result was the complete opposite of what I had asked for.

Instead of soft, natural highlights, my hair was harshly bleached with a cool tone that had no resemblance to my natural color. The appointment lasted almost four hours, during which the highlights were left in for too long. My scalp was sore from excessive washing and two rounds of toner, and I was charged £300 for the service.

I was extremely unhappy but too polite to say anything at the time. However, I returned the next day, and thankfully, Ahmet was able to tone down the color with a warmer shade. This is the only reason I’m giving two stars instead of one. Still, there was no apology or explanation, and my roots remain too strong, meaning I now have to visit another salon for a root smudge.

For this price, I expected much better service. Communication is key in hairdressing—stylists should consult with clients, ask questions, and explain the process. Sadly, that was completely lacking in my experience. I won’t be returning.

Had an excellent experience at Belsize Hair Salon! Very nice customer service/care ! Gentle and professional! Hakan did my cut and it was just perfect ! Also the lady that washed my hair was extremely nice and created a relaxing space for me before getting my new haircut! Really appreciated the kindness of both! Would def recommend !

I got a blow dry and wavy curls with Hakan 🤍

Absolutely a great hairstylist, normally my hair doesn’t hold curls or a blow dry very well unless it’s done amazingly and he did.

Additionally they have a great costumer service and might be a fan of Turkish tea now thanks to them 🙏🏽😋

Making an appointment was super easy, my stylist Ahmed gave me a really relaxing hair wash, and my cut turned out exactly the way I wanted. Definitely recommend!

A fantastic salon that Is good in every way. Hakan does an excellent cut, he is careful and does exactly what I ask for. Plus, the salon is inexpensive and the customer service is always fantastic!
