Independent shops like The Fabric Larder are such a rare thing to come by these days. To be able to see and touch all the wonderful products up close instead of purchasing online and hoping for the best, is a privilege indeed. Becca works tirelessly to run her full time business providing a friendly service, expert knowledge and guidance for all sewing projects. All this on top of running a wide variety of making workshops keeping old and treasured traditions alive, and supporting other makers to do the same. And if that wasn’t enough, she runs all aspects of her business with consideration to people and planet, conscious of ethical trading standards, quality fabric, recycling, re-using and reducing waste.
Such a great vibe in there whenever I visit. Lucky Bridport! 😊🥰

Gorgeous shop, fabulous service. What Becca doesn’t know isn’t worth knowing. Worth stopping by just for a mooch around because it’s so lovely. Really well stocked and all my questions were answered. Will definitely be going back.

Lovely little shop I managed to buy some threads for hand quilting my hexi quilt and although I’m trying not to buy more fabric I did give in and got a couple of FQ’s ! The owner tells me the shop has a big refurb planned over Christmas it sounds very exciting I look forward to coming back to see the new look.

Ordered two items and, after a long wait, asked if they had been sent. Owner was waiting for one item to be delivered - about six weeks' time! Did not want to wait and did not want to pay postage for one small item so asked for a refund. Was promptly informed that one item was in stock and that, instead of a refund, she had sent this with full postage. When asked why she had done this after I had asked for a refund she had a very bad attitude; she replied that I could pay more on e-bay and that "You can always Collect or Pick Up which won't cost you anything"! This was nasty and sarcastic as I am vulnerable, at home in a pandemic and live a very, very long way away from this dreadful woman. She is a disgrace.
