We went to watch the Royal Symphony Orchestra perform, and what an experience!

The Barbican centre itself is a brilliant piece of architecture and wonderful place to just go and see and hang out. A couple of bars and cafes to visit, library, gardens, art gallery and a lovely water garden! We enjoyed a couple of cocktails from the Martini bar before the show. Plenty of amenities, toilets and cloakrooms. Disabled access all around and plenty or staff about to help on show night. It did get busy though on show night so expect a wait at the bar like anywhere else. However we returned the morning after to really take it in, and the place was pretty much empty. It was nice to have a quiet wander to explore and have a coffee.

I've been to the Barbican many times, due to working next door, but I haven't been to many concerts there. Which is a huge oversight because it is an excellent venue!

We came to see Brit Floyd in the concert hall and it was an all-round excellent experience. The hall itself has excellent acoustics, comfortable seating and good sightlines. Even better there are no barriers and security staff between you and the stage because it's not that sort of venue!

Outside of the concert it was easy to access the Barbican Centre and there's enough space that it doesn't feel too crowded. There are also plenty of bar staff so you can pick up a beer easily enough (although oddly you're not allowed to take bought snacks into the auditorium). The only downside was that the toilets became massively congested during the interval after all of that beer!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Barbican Centre and the Barbican Conservatory. Prior to my visit, I had read about the Barbican Centre and was eager to experience the essence of Brutalism. I was truly amazed by the scale and authenticity of the architecture.

The Barbican Conservatory is a hidden gem; the greenery in the heart of London is truly precious. The combination of residential, commercial, artistic, and cultural elements, alongside nature, creates an intriguing area for exploration.

One of the most beautiful concerts I ever attended. The maestro presented himself the pieces they played, among them the central one, The Four Seasons by Vivaldi. Their dress up was amazing. A very memorable concert, indeed.

One of the best venues in the UK.

Has a huge space to explore.

Restaurants available and bars.

Also a big gift shop and small rough trade record store.

The main arena is an mazing space for live music.

Sound is perfect.

Staff friendly and a clean space.

Plenty of opportunities for relaxing.

Canteen and service there were also very good.

Check listings as many different types of events.

Cost of things was generally reasonable for London.

Worth a visit to see the internal lake and space.

I was treated to a guided tour of the ubiquitous Barbican Village. A community within the city of London with its very unique architecture, which is totally out of place compared to the classical and modern mix of buildings in the city. It is virtually hidden from sight as most tourists would not even notice its existence as its perimeter is a bit fortress like plain outward facing flank walls with ally like entrance points that appear to lead nowhere interesting. It is a rather brutal and monolithic assembly of towers, blocks, and open spaces primarily of residential properties with arts and cultural complex at its heart. It's worth seeing only to appreciate how cold and heartless architecture can be. I would say don't do it again!

Incredible architecture!
Iโ€™ve never been this impressed by buildings before. Itโ€™s truly a place worth visiting. Every corner of the structure is packed with details.

Honestly, it was so stunning that even the bathroom caught my attention ๐Ÿ˜›. I even took a photo of it because it didnโ€™t have any sharp cornersโ€”it was all rounded.
