A very nice castle to visit. Just a shame that the opening time is at 10 am and not before. The states rooms are quite impressive and the views are amazing. Definitely worth to have a visit and better to book your tickets in advance. Entrance is done through the main gate. Don't take the road next to it as it will take you to nowhere.

Best day out ever!!! Love this castle so much. They had an installation for “the last kingdom” tv show and the costumes were awesome! Very knowledgeable staff and the grounds are very tidy and well kept. The views are beautiful and I will be visiting again for sure.

Bamburgh Castle is an essential visit if you're in the area. It has an almost unrivalled profile among castles as its grounds stand with an amazing view across the coast making it a most impressive sight from miles around. While the grounds are impressive this is a castle where a walk around the interior is the real showcase as the castle has so much to explore and learn about. Well maintained and with many expert staff on hand this is a great way to spend a few hours. There is easy on site parking (all day £5) and a nice tearoom on site also. The nearby village in Bamburgh is also home to some great shops so you can easily spend most of a day in and around Bamburgh Castle. Highly recommended.

we got lucky and the weather was lovely! beautiful place with beautiful views. the castle has been renovated and is kept in a great condition. we bought tickets in advance for the Ragnar tour and the tour guide was brilliant. Will definitely come back!

What a fantastic castle to visit, it’s very rare in its position being right by a huge beach and amazing dunes.

It’s incredible how well it has been maintained and the views are stunning.

An amazing place to visit with children of all ages due to the beach and dunes.

An amazingly well looked after castle. It is definitely not to be missed. The staff are very friendly and the castle is in great shape. The Armstrong museum is also fascinating to go through and read about all the airplanes that were recovered near the castle.
All the state rooms were dressed up for Christmas with a querky theme in each room and it was lovely to see.
Parking is £5 if you don’t want to walk up the very steep hill.

Very expensive for what you actually get to see.
£18.95 per adult.
Several areas are off limits, no access to higher levels and the more interesting nooks and crannies of the castle.
Also most of it isn't actually that old which we didn't realise.
Overall pretty disappointing.

Stunning and beautiful place to visit (very windy!) The family that live there have made it welcoming and a great place for young and old. I live near Warwick Castle and this place easily matches that and at a fraction of the cost. Keep it up Bamburgh Castle!
