Loved popping in here very quickly.
So much to look around and full of canal history and memorabilia...and so much more other wonderful and interesting things.
The kids kids would love this and feels almost like an "Aladdin's Cave"...maybe it's just the kid in me!

Lovely shop by the canal. We called in after a walk along the canal and enjoyed an ice cream, including special dog ice cream which was very well received!! The upstairs isn’t the biggest of areas, so they can’t stock everything, but I think it has a good selection of sewing/knitting/craft accessories and materials, plus lots of good books. Downstairs there are books, gifts, cards etc. It’s well worth a visit and the owners are very friendly and helpful!

Love this gift shop, so many interesting items to browse and very different from the usual canalside shop. Extensive range of canal-related books, needlecraft materials, and holds an exhibition of paintings by the Guild of Waterway Artists.

EXCELLENT. I have been wanting to come here for a while but its quiet a distance from home.
But yesterday we visited and couldn't have been more pleased. I came for narrowboat guide books (our first narrowboat) and wanted to look at the diffreent ones rather than ordering onliine - HUGE selection here, everything you could want both new and 2nd hand.
BUT what i hadn't realised is that they sell a few chandlery items - we got mooring pins, chains, keys, a brolly mate - all sorts and for WAY cheaper than the big chain chandlers (we prefer to buy from independant retailers - we went onto Talbot wharf chandlers from here and they are fantastic too - please see sep review).
The chap (and so sorry I didnt get his name) was really helpful.
Audlem itself is lovely and well worth a visit - the fish and chip shop just accross the public footpath is fab too.
So glad we made the journey - we saved far more money that the petrol money to get there.

It's a very interesting shop - downstairs all things canal related and upstairs crafts.
There are a variety of cross-stitch kits not seen in the average craft shop as well as interesting accessories and displays. For me the only disadvantage is the stairs as I have mobility problems and they are very difficult for me. There is a sign however saying that the owner is willing to bring items down for you to see but it's not the same as browsing yourself. That being said it is well worth a visit and I've never come away empty handed
