After outgrowing a basic starter machine within a few months, I called at Ashford Sewing Centre and got some great, non pushy advice on a Janome I had my eye on. I went back a few weeks later to purchase and have also bought fabric and other stuff there. Not my local shop, but I do always feel very welcome and will continue to visit for supplies and machine maintenance.

Have brought 4 sewing machines from Ashford Sewing Centre over recent years - absolutely first class service - from information prior to buying - personal delivery of my machine to my home address including setting up machine and demonstration. After sales is amazing - any query or problem quickly answered and dealt with. Even when machine is out of warranty. First class shop and staff - Kevin and Jim always available to help and advise. The service I have received from the Ashford Sewing & Knitting Centre over the last 10 years has been exceptional - I highly recommend them - the after sales service is also fantastic! The fact it's a family run business is a bonus! I have used them to service old machines and I have bought new ones from them too - they really take the time to talk you through what will best suit your needs - you won't get that from Amazon!

I took a machine to them. I was so embarrassed by the state of it. It was a nice machine but it had been dropped onto a hard surface and I really thought it was the end of it. Everything was out of line. Including the shaft. But Kevin and Jim sorted it out! It's now my favourite sewing machine. Stitches are perfectly balance. Did I say I was delighted? Well I am!

I cannot speak highly enough of Jim and Kevin who own and manage this family business. They really are so knowledgeable after years and years of experience with sewing machines. The repairs and servicing are carried out faultlessly, promptly with courtesy. They even guarantee their work (not that it have ever needed it)
They are simply the best. I bought my Janome from them many years ago

Thanks for the help when replacing my 50yr-old Crown Point machine with new and more capable. There were new Janome machines and some second hand, reconditioned brands in the shop. There was no pressure to buy but advice was freely given when requested. Thanks for help when I had queries post purchase…I’m now considering an upgrade and my first choice of shop would be Ashford Sewing Centre.
