Would recommend without reservation. We commissioned Laurel to manufacture and install 16 windows, two external doors and two sets of French doors as part of a major refurbishment. The design was bespoke to match features of the original property, which Laurel did perfectly. Laurel undertook the work with great enthusiasm, skill and attention to detail. His communication was superb throughout; we visited his workshop to view progress and we were shown around. The quality was evident in all of his work. As with all renovations there were a couple of glitches between building work and the carpentry; however Laurel provided solutions and couldn't have been more helpful. His pricing was very competitive and quality superb. I would recommend Laurel without hesitation.

We exchanged contracts with Laurel in May 2024. Paying 50% deposit for a bespoke timber door. We have been unable to achieve contact with him. He initially responded to contact attempts in early August by texting saying he would ring later that day on a couple of different occasions. He never made contact. He is no longer responding to texts, emails or calls. Neighbouring units have advised he hasn’t been at the premises for sometime. He has not fulfilled his contract and has pocketed our deposit.

ROGUE TRADER... After agreeing to the proposed work we signed a contract and paid a 50% deposit. After the agreed 4 month timeline had passed, the company are completely uncontactable. Unanswered phone calls, emails, and texts. North Shields business premises always have the shutters down. No work undertaken, and no sign of our £2000 deposit.

Highly recommend. Laurel is very professional, thorough and cannot do enough to help. We have had an excellent experience, his craftsmanship is superb and he is committed to making sure the final product is exemplary. We have commissioned numerous jobs from Laurel, including bespoke front door, surrounding glass and frame, fire surround alongside custom made skirting board and dado rail.
I would not hesitate to recommend Laurel and will no doubt use again in the future.

Bad experience for us...He introduced himself as a window manufacturer as well as kitchen cabinet maker. Horrible job done for the sash window and very little attention spent on details for architrave and window junctions. The kitchen's cabinet took nearly 1 year to be completed. Always busy and not answering the phone! We had to chase him for months!!!!Sick of the situation after complaining several times about our disappointment we had to contact the mediator to get the job finished. He came back trying to fix things but definitely not matching with our expectation. Was the job completed as he said ?" everything will be perfect!!!" definitely not! We accepted the job just the get rid of him! Job accepted but definitely we are not happy at all with what we have got now in front of our eyes every day!!!!

I used Artisan Sash two years ago to replace eight sash windows. The work and craftsmanship were excellent and I wrote a positive review which now cannot be found on this site. In October last year one of the double glazed units failed with condensation inside the unit. Laurel eventually came in November 2023 to measure for a replacement. Since then silence. Does not return calls, messages or answer letter. The workshop has been shut on the four occasions I have visited. Very disappointed in the lack of service and responsibility.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Laurel came and measured for a front door in October 2023. We signed a contract and I paid the deposit which was 50% of full amount. He stopped answering calls and emails from January onwards. He is definitely alive and well and active on What's app. Please do not use this person as he is a scammer
