I rang Artisan after a mishap with my hair (my granddaughter attempted to cut my pony tail off while I was asleep and won!!) 🙈When I explained what had happened Barbara, the owner, fitted me in that day...
I went for my appointment and was greeted with a smile from Barbara and the two young staff. I felt totally at ease immediately. I don't really like going for a haircut, it makes me anxious... This day any feelings I had just disappeared..
Barbara's Junior trainee Abbie, washed my hair and I can honestly say it was just wonderful, she massaged my scalp all over and I could've stayed there for hours. Abbie was just delightful, she's a little gem and just perfect for hairdressing. I couldn't believe it when she told me she was only 16.!!. her people skills are amazing... 😁😁

When I sat down waiting for Barbara Abbie made me a lovely cup of tea... Barbara then talked me through what she suggested... (I had previously coloured my hair and the grow out was half way down my hair, it just looked awful... ) She listened to me and between us it was decided that all the old colour would be cut out and I would embrace my greyness...
The finish is lovely and I'm so happy, if I wasn't staying nearby in a hotel, I would without a doubt become a regular... I live too far away... If I'm ever in the area, needing a haircut, I'll be back...

Barbara used to cut my hair in the late '80's/ early' 90's and I found her again on Instagram by chance. I had a consultation with her and at the appointment my hair was cut exactly as I wanted it. Barbara is a fantastic hairdresser who I would highly recommend and lucky for me she is just up the road from where I live now.

From consultation right through to my appointment Babra and her team where extremely helpful. I was given a truly thorough face to face consultation where not only was I asked what I wanted to achieve, I was then given 2/3 different options bleach/with out bleach and most importantly Babra gave me realistic opinions of what she could and couldn't do. I felt so safe and relaxed in her care. Hair is a massive part our face and personality and having it gone wrong once before I was extremely nervous to get it done again however Babra put all my fears at bay. Her experience and passion for hair speaks volume. I am in love with my hair and have gained confidence again in getting my hair done.
Thank you so much for such an amazing experience taking the time to actually listen to me and giving me more than I expected. Such a lovely salon with friendly staff.

Best salon in Bolton by far. Barbara goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect! She’s often worked overtime to get my hair finished and she doesn’t rush. Amazing!
