Christopher is so knowledgeable and always a delight. We have purchased a couple quilts from him over the years and always find it such a lovely experience. There is no other quilt dealer with amazing quality, knowledge of history, and fair prices for their quilts the world over.

Fabulous place to visit, jam packed full of amazing quilts, old, vintage, a feast for the eyes.
Christopher was very gracious and very informative on the quilts. I did indulge, very hard not too. Some lovely cafes beside the quilt shop. Would definitely recommend dropping by.

This shop is a wonderland for anyone who loves antique textiles. There is a magical feeling as you step into Christopher Wilson Tate’s carefully curated collection of quilts, antique needlepoint, and even some cross stitch. Christopher himself is knowledgeable, personable and enthusiastic as he shares his love of his acquisitions with his clientele. My first visit, I instantly felt at home. My only regret is that I live so far away…however, even though I’m in California, Christopher has kept me informed of quilts he thinks I might be interested in. It is rare indeed to find a more caring, kind, and honest custodian of these beautiful, hand made works. I will be back as often as I am in London, because this shop is an unforgettable, one of a kind heaven on earth for the collector and lover of fine vintage textiles.

If you are coming to London and you love textiles - visit this shop. It is one of a kind and Christopher's store of quilts is only equalled by his store of amazing stories about the quilts he has found. He has been looking for them and appreciating them since he was a teenager. There are as few people as knowledgeable and interesting about the entire subject.

Impressively wide and beautiful selection of vintage quilts. Bought charming quilts twice by communicating on Instagram, always encouraged by quick responses and with helpful videos/ photos Christopher sent, that included any tears or defects that I should have been aware of. Transaction was quick and shipping ( to Tokyo) was efficient. Looking forward to visiting the real shop in future.

Prepare yourself for an exceptional place to visit. If you're a quilter, in the midst of decorating your home or just looking for an incredible story, this shop was made for you. Imagine a quaint corner store literally overflowing with gorgeous blankets, and each one comes with a great backstory provided by the charming owner who is eager to share his passion with you. There's a good mix of quilt styles from different countries and eras -- there's really something for everyone. It is worth the effort to come in from central London if you're a tourist, and there is a lovely coffee shop a few doors down if you need a refresher. You won't be disappointed!
