What a fabulous asset to Alford. This shop is absolutely amazing. I bought a mosaic kit. I really enjoyed making it. The instructions were fabulous and there was everything needed to complete the kit.
I am going to book onto a few courses they run too.

A very pleasent experience and day out. Small market and craft stalls. Charity and bric a brac shops also a good chippy, The cafe (Willow cafe ) in the main Street that we paid a visit was excellent in fare, price and service. The atmosphere was friendly and staff professional and well informed. other excellent cafes by the market place worth a visit. Alford corn exchange has a brilliant cafe. As is Angelenes next door. Also there is two Chinese takeaways. The one very pleasant surprise was the free parking and the car park just off the market Square had FREE public toilets. What really amazed us the thought process of some selfish drivers parking a none electric car in a charging bay. Photo supplied. This is one forward thinking council. Market day is Tuesday and Friday and a visit is highly recommended.

Went to visit on Christmas Extravaganza. A bit crowded but some lovely displays. However I was very disappointed to see that an entire section of several homemade cards was comprised of ai generated images. Unfortunately I cannot recommend.

This shop has vastly improved and has become a real asset to the town. There are some very talented people around. I purchased an apron made by Mrs. Gibb. Superb quality and highly original design.
The honey is splendid too.

If you like crafts, then this is the place for you. There are numerous artists/crafters displaying and selling their arts. From paintings, to decorative glass ware, felting, knitting, jewellery, ceramics, wood carving etc. Run by volunteers. The gallery is definitely worth a look. Also browse the craft classes. I've done several now, very reasonably priced, always good value, with talented teachers. All in the little market square in Alford. Ample car parking just across the way.
There are several craft fayre events too, mainly at the bank holidays, voluntary donation usually. Up to date information is on their website, courses, events etc.

This wee gem sits near the main road on the corner (easy peasy parking). Staffed by skilled volunteers we so enjoy looking around and coming away with whatever tickles our fancy.
Don't imagine this is bric-a-brac, for it is NOT. What is available is first class. We cannot resist calling in whenever we walk past 🙂
