I went in the store and spoke to a gentlemen who worked there about batting, I explained I have no experience with it and he went through and showed me the different types. Later when asking for my fabric to cut I also asked him for 1 metre of the thinnest batting which he said the 4oz one?, I stated if that’s the thinnest one. He cut it for me and I paid for it. I am have just come to find two weeks later that they have a thinner one which is 2oz, and I’m disappointed that I trusted the employee to give me the correct product and trusted their advice but was sold the wrong thing. Extremely disappointed as you cant even trust the staff and I have wasted money on buying the wrong product.

I can't praise this family run business alone and more particularly it's Bolton location. The yarn is so varied and always good quality for the price. Their knitting needles are incredibly cheap and always come sturdy and aren't made of really flimsy plastic. They are never running out of anything and the staff there are incredibly helpful and friendly. They're also constantly doing little events throughout the year including discounts etc. Plus, they have a website where you can order their products and claim rewards via a loyalty programme. They should advertise this more in-store. Brilliant place!

This Abakhan shop is brilliant for all things textiles, from material fabric to wool and threads and dress making tools. The prices are very reasonable. The store is card payments only, though, but there is a cash machine close by - on the shopping complex nearer to Asda.
