Review of Hawes & Curtis, Cannon Street StoreDate of Visit: TodayI visited the Hawes & Curtis store on Cannon Street today, intending to buy shirts for my partner. The store, situated on the first floor, presented a range of options, and I ended up spending £90 on two shirts. However, the experience was overshadowed by the service I received.I approached a young lady with curly hair for assistance. Unfortunately, her demeanor was far from welcoming.
When I asked her to unfold a shirt for a closer inspection, she declined and, to my surprise, threw the shirt onto a nearby table. This reaction repeated itself with another shirt, leaving me baffled and questioning the quality of what I had chosen.Despite feeling uncomfortable and confused by her actions, I proceeded with my purchase. However, the experience left a sour taste, overshadowing the satisfaction of buying new shirts. The lack of basic customer service and courtesy was unexpected and disappointing, especially from a store of such standing. This visit has significantly impacted my view of the store and may influence my decision to return in the future.

Certainly good quality shirts, however, a very poor customer service by one of the members of the staff. I saw him being rude to a few customers while I was there. He is happy to chase away customers quite easily. The customer asked if they have something and the reply was "NO have a good day sir!". The customer looked at me in shock! Looks like by default he treats everyone like time-wasters. Even though it was off peak time.

Fantastic sales advice and service by Des. I needed a dinner suit quick and although the size in stock wasn't quite right, it was no problem. It was to be tailored and adjusted, ready for the same evening, the fact he had to call in a favour from his local tailor, Des showed me he cared enough. It was discounted too as it was during the sales, so I was very glad I walked in to this store and not one of the local competitors.
