Decided to pop in after recently being engaged and hand on heart one of the best cheese toasties we’ve ever had. We got the classic with spiced tomato chutney and goat cheese toasties. The bread was fresh and crunchy with a cheese crust from where it had oozed out and melted. You can tell there’s some real quality cheese that goes into it and it was worth every penny. A total surprise and delight.

The sign advertising cheese toasties drew me in and so glad I popped in for on, it was delicious. Many years ago I used to work Bill in Borough Market and our stall sold Raclette and Cheese Toasties - we sold hundreds over a Saturday they were that good. So, what can I say about the one from the Cheese Shed - it was OUTSTANDING, they have four different types and I opted for the Hawaiian - blue cheese, a couple of others with some pineapple and Dijon mustard and it was very good, I'll definitely head back. The shop itself has a wonderful selection of cheeses including some lovely goats - this places is a real gem of a place.

A little bit of heaven in Devon. Such a fantastic selection, with sheep and goat milk cheeses too! But it's not just cheese, they also have all the lovely extras to go with it. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff are on hand to help you choose.

I signed up for a monthly selection of cheeses from The Cheese Shed during one of the Covid lock-downs, so we've been dealing with the shop for quite a while now.
I just want to say what an excellent group of people they are, and that the quality and choice of their selections is second-to-none. We have occasionally sent in separate orders rather than having whatever they choose, but we really like the monthly element of surprise, and plan a whole evening of cheese-tasting around the delivery.
The service is equally good. Of course, over several years there have been a couple of issues, but the team at The Cheese Shed have made sure that these are quickly put right.
I totally recommend this shop / service to anyone who likes cheese.

From the outside the Cheese Shed looks visually eye catching, its very open layout lets you see in items on display and pretty much most of the shop itself, inside it has a nice counter with the big round blocks of cheese and a selection in the fridge. The cheeses are vast and excellent in quality, i feel like a kid in a sweet shop really, The bovey straight, harvest moon/ half moon are examples of the kind of cheeses that shine. They also have a small selection of local ales and ciders ( cyder ), chutneys and crackers. The service from Tom is outstanding, you know your in good hands with his knowledge. Bovey Tracey is lucky to have this independent shop.

Without a doubt, The best cheese toastie I've ever had.

Not cheap, but good food is worth paying for, and every ingredient in these toasties is, in my opinion, the best available.

Quirky little courtyard seating area and a warm welcome from very friendly staff give this place a very homely feel.

I will definitely be back and be recommending everyone makes a trip here

Not only does The Cheese Shed offer a fine selection of cheese available in the shop and on its website for delivery, but it also provides an eat in or take away food service of various cheesy delights that vary with the season.
Currently (winter) they are offering various cheese toasties freshly prepared to order. We went for the blue cheese toastie and a chilli toastie both including the option to add chutneys. They were both delicious with the blue cheese variant being our favourite. Accompanied by a selection of cold drinks, we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Hot drinks are also available from the coffee shop next door as both businesses work together to serve their customers.

The Cheese Shed is a fabulous local business and long may it thrive.
