A miniature version of Bourton-on-the-Water at a 1:9 scale.

The Model Village is a scaled-down replica of the town, closely resembling the buildings and layout of the real village.

The details are intricately crafted, faithfully replicating the Cotswolds’ traditional stone architecture, charming little bridges over flowing water, and even interior decorations inside the model houses. The church features hymn singing, and even the placement of street-side postboxes is accurately reproduced.

Children feel like giants as they explore, almost as if they’ve stepped into a miniature world, making it a fun and fascinating experience. The Model Village is not very large and can be explored in about half an hour. Afterward, visitors can compare it with the real town, making it a delightful stop when visiting Bourton-on-the-Water.

It was a really pretty model village, £4.5 per person (adult), toilet was good. I wasnt expecting it to be in small space but it was a very good visit. They also did renovation and repairing some of the models too but you still can take pictures. I met the village chief (Cat) too🤍

Walking distance from 801 bus stop for people using public transport and there is parking space too

Nice place to visit whilst exploring. Looking at the layout of these buildings and seeing where they were and when we finally came across them outside was great. Nice to admire such craftsmanship of the model village.

Visited in December, at a weekend. The numbers of people were low and this made for a great viewing experience. There is some impressive work that has gone into these, some are showing signs of damage from the elements, but this adds to the charm and renovation work seems to be underway house by house. There are also some newer editions which reflect the village well.

The price to enter and maintain this was worth it for us, and we had about an hour of enjoyment from exploring the village from above!

For the few smaller children who were only a little bigger than the houses, they were certainly filled with wonder, and the reverse periscope gives a perspective that brings the village to life.

Impressive for sure, but thought it was expensive for the amount of time we spent there. Our kids (ages 6 and 9) were done exploring the village after about 15 minutes. Clean toilets.

Great little model village which aids in orientating one to the real village. The models are beautifully built and the model of the model village within the model is quite charming. Inexpensive and quick to visit, it provides one a bit of fun feeling like a giant wandering through Bourton on the Water

Not bad for under a fiver each, pretty reasonable.

Only two bad points were firstly the lady taking payment on entry - get off your phone when dealing with customers, even if it’s 10 seconds, not a good look especially for someone old enough to know better. And secondly some of the little buildings don’t look like they’ve had maintenance in a long while, at £4.50 pp and given how busy it was even on a cold January weekday I’d imagine they’d make enough to sink back into the place to keep everything nicely restored.

Overall though a pleasant little model village.
