I absolutely love this place. Joan is so very helpful and has a wide range of materials to choose from. Though she does not do alterations she will take custom orders. She worked at the House of Worth and her extensive history in sewing shows in her vast knowledge. She has been very helpful in my pursuit to recreate a 19th century ball gown and full ensemble and so incredibly grateful she is there. The store is cash only, btw!

Unfortunately the opening times don't correspond with those on the door. Suggest phoning before you go.

We arrived 12.15pm Saturday and found the shop closed. The sign on the door said open until 1pm. We rang the shop, but no answer.

Tired and disappointed as I was up until 3am tracing the pattern.

Will review again, after I've been and caught the shop open, and purchased some fabric.

WOW What a great find. Shop full of amazing fabrics. Buying fabric for my daughters outfit for Ringwood Carnival. very helpful lady owner, and had exactly what I needed.

We try and go constantly but it's always closed. The last two weeks I call the shop to see if its open and no one is around

The only place in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole that I could find Cadburys Purple Chiffon.
Lovely shop with a lovely lady owner, loads of fabrics to choose from, and very helpful.
