I have just started making rag dolls and i am a complete beginner at everything sewing .I was so pleased to see that the sewing box had reopened after the flood they had and popped in to get what I needed to do my projects. I would really like to say what a lovely shop and Sandi and Scott are so helpful nothing is too much trouble .I feel like I could go in at any time for advise if I need to and the choice of fabric is fabulous. It's so nice to enter a shop and get greeted with a friendly smile and a cheerful hello .Thank you both so much for you help much appreciated .

I popped into Brixham Sewing Box today and had a lovely experience. I’d completed a learn how to knit gift over Christmas and was keen for some more wool to keep going. The lady in the shop (sorry I didn’t get your name!) was very encouraging and kind and helped me choose some lovely wool for another project. Lots of beautiful fabrics and haberdashery on display too. The owner explained they’d not been open for long due to flood damage, and would be getting new stock in soon. Looking forwards to visiting again in the New Year for more supplies and supporting this great independent shop!

I love this shop. It has a very wide range of products, which is great as it’s always nice to see exactly what you are buying. All the staff are very knowledgeable and can answer any question I have. You don’t get this service ordering online. I would go in every day if I could.

I have recently decided to try my hand at rag doll making. This lovely shop had all i needed to get started including lovely 'ditsy' small pattern fabric ideal for doll dresses. Lovely friendly and helpful owner.

Lovely little shop for those who like crafts, shame about the rude manner of the proprieter.

The material was cut wonkey so whilst we had 1/2 metre at one end we were cut short at the other end which had also happened on our last visit leaving us short. When we mentioned this to see if it could be cut to avoid this we were told it was the materials fault

Was totally amazed at the beauty of all the lovely fabrics, looked so effective and pretty, took a picture and was told this wasn't acceptable and that I should have asked. Deleted the pic and apologies I explained Id taken it as I really liked the attractive shop. The response was that other customers had done the same taking pictures and videos of things that she had made and that's why she didn't like it. She then changed her mind and said I could take a picture by which time I was feeling most uncomfortable and embarrassed as there were other customers in the shop and such a fuss had been made

A pretty shop that I enjoyed visiting I was total disgusted at by the way we were treated, I had to ask a number of times for the bill and told her she was embarrassing us and I just wanted to get out.

Most awful experience which I will remember each time I use the product the material makes.

Went to this lovely shop a couple of times while I was on holiday in September. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Will go back there again when I'm in Devon.
