I'm a life model and had my first visit here today for a life drawing session. It is a great place for artists to work and to be a life model. All the ladies were really friendly artists. If you want to learn about life drawing, please visit Bath Artists Studios.

The building is an old auction room with old car repair yard but currently the studios are a hive of creative activity covering old and new arts and crafts from stone sculpting to giant decoupage to oil paintings to modern art. I attend a weekly workshop run by two sisters as Funky Art House, we do different crafts every week, including mosaics, willow weaving, stencil making and painting, a huge list too many to mention here, so come and take part, its the best 2.5 hours of my week! Parking is very restricted but plenty on the main road outside, worth a visit, just pop in to the admin office for list of all the artists, bound to find something you like the look of or want to take part in. I got to model for Lindy Wright. It was a great experience. She is really friendly, professional and she takes great care of models (breaks, making sure that we're pausing in comfortable positions ...). Then it is a real pleasure to pose while seeing her teaching. Bath Artists Studios has a Long Pose class on Tuesday mornings. A great opportunity to draw directly from a model and low costs (currently £12) compared to other similar classes.

Bath Artists Studio's. A little gem hidden away in Bath full of real working artists. Check their website for exhibitions and other events. Parking is difficult - using alternative recommended.
