The Christmas tree is a beloved and iconic symbol of the holiday season. Typically a fir tree, decorated with lights, ornaments, and tinsel, it serves as the centerpiece of festive celebrations worldwide.

History:
The evergreen fir tree has been a symbol of life and hope during winter since ancient times. The modern Christmas tree tradition originated in 16th-century Germany, where devout Christians would bring trees into their homes and decorate them with candles, fruits, and other ornaments.

Symbolism:

- Evergreen branches represent eternal life and hope
- Lights symbolize the Star of Bethlehem and the light of Christ
- Ornaments represent the fruits of the spirit and the richness of life
- The tree's triangular shape is said to represent the Holy Trinity

Traditions:

- Decorating the tree with family and friends
- Placing gifts and presents under the tree
- Singing Christmas carols and enjoying festive treats around the tree

The Christmas tree is a powerful symbol of joy, hope, and celebration during the holiday season.

๐ŸŽ…๐ŸผHad a wonderful time yesterday. The โ€˜guidesโ€™ couldnโ€™t have been more helpful, polite and jolly. We enjoyed the many shops and stalls. ๐Ÿ˜ข The toilets were out of order near the coach pick-up, so that would add the final โญ๏ธ. Thank you Bath.

Booked the Christmas market with just go holidays, Christmas market was visited on Saturday, absolutely mayhem with wall to wall people, won't do this one again.
Coaches are given slots to drop off, six or seven minutes walk from market. Near to outside skating rink and night adventure golf course. There is a resteraunt/ bar by rink, but again rammed on Saturday.
Market is spaced out over many streets, but so many people it's difficult to get about.
Few tips avoid weekends,if you do go and if you want to eat select and book a resteraunt before you go or you won't get in anywhere, luckily we stopped at an Ibis in Bridgwater so managed to get something reasonable to eat.
The ibis is a bit out of the way so taxi to nearest restaurant if you want a trip out.
Ibis staff were all helpful and friendly although we felt room a bit on the poor side, one or two marks on wall and similar with holes in wall?
Only there one night, had we been there a few we would have been less happy.
Coach had to have a stop on route at motorway services and because of slot in Bath for drop off,we had to kill an hour, not the best.
One good point was stopping off Sunday at Tewkesbury, which gave time to visit wonderful Abbey and lovely old town, although Sunday plenty of places to eat and plenty of small shops open.
Overall good couple of days, but won't do market again!
