I recently visited Liz in her lovely shop in beautiful Old Amersham. She was polite, helpful and full of advice on things lingerie as always. There are so few stand alone lingerie shops around now and especially not with such knowledgeable staff as Liz and the other lovely ladies in Odette. I left with not only the items Liz had ordered in for me but a few extra pieces from the wonderful sale too!

I feel so lucky to have this gem of a place so close to me. This is my go to place for the most beautiful swimwear, with the best advice on what suits me. I have managed to build up quite a collection. For years I had struggled with being ignored when I walked into bigger stores where they really had no idea what they were doing but at Odette I always feel special, which is how you should feel when you are a customer. I've purchased some stunning lingerie too from independent brands that I had never heard before and now just love, it really is a great little boutique. I look forward to treating myself to something again soon!

Liz was very abrupt at the start of our fitting, referring to me as 'someone who thinks they're special' - I am just a woman trying to get a bra fitted and struggling with conflicting advice, I found the appointment incredibly uncomfortable and emotional. Against my better judgement I persevered, and bought two INCREDIBLY expensive bras. Wearing one at home the bra is digging in under my arms, and after contacting the shop to discuss this, Liz has said in no uncertain terms that the bra fits correctly and no refunds are available. My only option is to come back in for a follow up fitting. I won't be returning, will sell the bras on and hope to recover some of the costs. Such a shame, this has the potential to be a great shop. As other reviews have summarised, rude and arrogant and a lack of customer care.

Rude, arrogant and ableist woman. My Wife has disabilities and has difficulty visiting places. When my Wife called the shop to enquire about stock, she was spoken to horribly. We called another lingerie shop which was friendly and apparently this woman is rude to many.

My Wife had purchased bras from her before and was treated with contempt but she was willing to visit because she was desperate and her health issues limit her daily life.

The owner of the shop knows of my Wife’s disabilities and on this occasion she was spoken to appallingly when my Wife said her epilepsy was preventing her from leaving the house on that day because of the amount of fits. My Wife was enquiring about stock and was spoken to rudely.

The lingerie shop at Berkhamstead is much more accommodating and nice with similar stock and they will post items which is a help.

Edit: In response to the owner's reply to another negative review, in which she stated that Google reviews are "never verified". Customer reviews are not subject to sanitation or edits to suit a business owner's agenda, they are a democracy. A single review from a random person may hold little credibility, however I am a local guide and have reviewed numerous local businesses with overwhelming positive reviews. This is actually the only negative review I have posted. I stand by my comments and concur with the other negative reviews which all seem to be consistent in their critique

Usually need to go further afield for a bra shop but now I've discovered Liz in Odette! ... Popped in today and got a whole range of new bras, reasonably priced, well fitted, no pushy (or push up!) sales, just great advice and help. Personal service, lovely changing area, great selection. Thank you Liz.. I'll be back!

I was feeling slightly nervous when I entered this beautiful boutique in Old Amersham, as I was well aware I was one of the majority of women wearing the wrong sized bra for more years than I would care to admit. I needn't have worried. As soon as you step inside you are enveloped by the exquisite sights of the gorgeous merchandise, soothing sounds and fabulous perfume which almost takes you into another world. And the expertise of Liz and her staff means that you are treated as a VIP from the word go, never pushed or rushed or feeling criticised but gently guided towards the things that suit you (and fit perfectly of course), and lingerie that you are so taken with that you find yourself thinking it is exactly what you would have chosen yourself. I came out of the shop delighted with my purchases, feeling taller and more confident (as well as far more comfortable), but after admiring the swimwear and fitness sections I was left with the lingering feeling that I just have to come back. Thank you to Liz and your fantastic team, I am ever grateful to you.

What a lovely shop you have! And such great customer service! I visited your shop on a recent trip to the area back in June! And found so many lovely items! My daughter and SIL found some as well! Will definitely return on my next visit to Amersham.

I have visited this gorgeous shop many times since it opened and have had a bespoke, fantastic experience every time. After years of panic buying bras in various chain shops and not really knowing my size, getting home and them almost fitting but just wearing them anyway... I finally realise the benefit of having a bra that actually fits!! The shop itself is beautiful, sumptuously decorated with loads of personal touches including hand-painted wallpaper! The service I received was ace and as someone that has always been so uninformed before about my size and the importance of fit, I finally feel like I understand the massive benefit of having a proper fitting bra. With this in mind, they fit the bra to you, not just finding one in your size, but actually making sure it fits to your shape in each brand/style etc. Looking forward to coming back soon!
