Order from anywhere but here , please - I advise you. Their website isn’t user friendly at all and makes it hard as ever to order a sample. Have to fill out a form via as separate webpage (probably done to make it directly to order a sample so you end up ordering metres of fabric you can’t send back. Also beware as they’re ‘conservative’ when it comes to last of their stock. So if you buy last stock it’s probably being cut from a 30-50 metre roll so you end up in a trap of not being able to return the fabric. First time buying from 1st for fabric and probably my last. Customer service was no help either. £139 down because of inaccurate info on their site, a site which hard as ever to navigate and I honestly wish I never bothered even trying to purchase from here for the first time.

I didn’t realize but you can buy fabric by the meter but also in 10 centimetres increments which is great for small projects!

My local fabric shop BST closed down and Icould not find my cotton cambric I use antwher else but so pleased I found 1st for fabrics really great service on email contact and at the store, very impressed quality store and Kayleigh extra helpful 😀

Great selection. Lovely, helpful staff. Great selection of fabric to order and best price for felt. You can buy in 10cm increments too, rather than per metre which is really helpful, especially on expensive fabrics.

Amazinggggggg!! So much choice and great staff, even my 3 year old loved it! Very child friendly dispite her screams of excitement; very reasonably priced too, would definitely recommend! I got some avocado material for some aprons, and then some frozen and some cow material for some sun hats super happy!!

Fantastic range of fabric and accessories, lovely staff and service. Yes, you will find some fabric on the internet cheaper, BUT the internet can never give you that instant feel of a fabric which establishes its quality and therefore its justified and true price.
